Beside sharknado, we also get sendnado, lavanado, lightningnado, bouldernado, oilnado and finally nukenado. I wonder how they will exceed this in next sequel.
And there simply has to be next one. And next one and some more on top of that. I believe that I have just watched the greatest movie ever made.
No movie has ever touched me like this. The emotional roller coaster was almost too much for me. This action packed movie had me in tears.
I don't remember the last time a movie held my undivided attention. The Oscar worthy performances and the amazing visual effects rival those of multi-million dollar blockbusters.
I was also astounded by their interpretation of the laws of physics. The plot was as spectacular as it was in the first three installments, maybe even better.
The romance in the movie reminded me of Romeo and Juliet and the actors' performances were heart- melting. Lastly, the movie serves as a wonderful reminder of the unconditional love that only comes from family.
In all seriousness, I have never exercised my abs this hard. If you want to choke from laughter I recommend watching this movie that is so bad it's actually amazing.
I love that these movies are still being made. In my personal opinion, I think they keep getting better as the series progresses.
Syfy realizes they have a hit on their hands, and they're gonna keep making them bigger, better, sillier, campier and cheesier. Sharknado has become the 'Superbowl' of the Syfy channel The 4th Awakens title is obviously a spoof of 'Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, and I was happy when this film opened with the Star Wars type scroll.
The trailer was very misleading, I thought the whole film was gonna take place in Las Vegas over a course of one night, but that was just the opening act.
The film takes place five years after the events of Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! Since then, Aston Reynolds has developed the Astro-X corporation and its weather-regulating technology.
Fin Shepard and his family have lived in peace and he decides to take a vacation in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, a new Sharknado awakens and puts everyone in peril once again.
Not only is it just a Sharknado, but now they are more powerful Fueled by alternate materials, we're now faced with sandnados, oilnados, firenados, bouldernados, cownados, lightningnados and even an atomicnado.
Will Fin and his family be able to stop these newer tougher Sharknados? I loved all the random cameos and references to other films such as The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and even John Carpenter's Christine.
I think this is my 2nd favorite after Sharknado 2: The Second One. If you love bad cheesy campy B-movies, you'll definitely love SHARKNADO: THE 4TH AWAKENS!!!
Why would we ever want this to end? They can keep making Sharknado movies until the end of time, and I'll keep watching.
These movies are hilarious. They set out to be ridiculously bad, and they succeed spectacularly. And that makes them great.
Honestly, how many movies do you see that are exactly what they're trying to be? Maybe one a year. You know why Sharknado movies will always be good?
Because they've totally abandoned all pretense. It's silly fun, for fun's sake. Grab a few beers and frickin' watch this.
With the world stabilized from sharknados, a freak accident with the prevention technology forces the world into another round of attacks by these incidents and brings the heroes with their greatest challenge yet in stopping them from happening.
This here was simply another highly enjoyable and utterly crazy entry in the series. The fact that this one starts in with the newfound means of setting up the new reality where it's intended to prevent the world from the sharknado appearing again in a spectacular opening sequence that brings about the spectacularly cheesy action the series is known for with the different monuments getting ravaged by the creatures and having the greatness of the different mini-attacks that play along to their universe's rules while getting in plenty of the treasured cameos.
Likewise, the big action set-pieces that come about here because of the general plot line in play here means that this one really so full of awesome action scenes that comes along throughout here which gives us the train attack alongside the howling tornado outside, the great town- attack in the blazing oil-field moves past the group and the big attacks on the different cities that really allow the kind of over- the-top scenarios and action which become quite fun.
That even includes the rather exciting and thrilling encounter at the farmhouse where the tornado-like winds provide this with some really thrilling sequences as they have to fight off the wind as well as the encroaching sharks whip around outside that stands as one of the greatest scenes in the film.
That also leads into the big finale at the waterfalls at the end which is quite an impressive and thrilling big series of action-packed scenes that bring about the kind of cheesy nature and full-on crazy ideas to come into play here that's become quite synonymous with the series and gives this a solid connection to it all.
With the solid gore and bloody kills running rampant across here in terms of both sharks and humans as well as some truly outrageous sight-gags and several rather funny lines thrown into the mix, there's so much to really like here.
Still, even with all this great amount of fun there's a few minor and barely detrimental areas here. The main one is the fact that there's no reason to introduce the storyline about the family completely unaware of her resurgence.
The reasoning for doing so isn't all that well-handled and seems like it would've had a built-in excuse that would've worked fine but instead this is a wholly lame angle that doesn't really do much for the film.
As well, there's also the usual and expected atrocious CGI present here that looks rather cheap and really badly done which is wholly distracting and takes a lot out of the scenes.
These here are the film's only problems. The plot is pretty much the same except the sharks appear in sandnados, bouldernados, oilnados, firenados, etc etc.
It also gives a nod to Lavalantua, a sister film We already know the signature ending is something more spectacular than the last one and involves pulling something from the belly of a shark.
It is okay to get the aide of plot spoilers I know I did in order to know all the cameo characters. I even paused the film to Google lines that sounded familiar Characters from all kinds of films and TV shows have cameo roles, I really enjoyed Gilbert Godfrey and watching Carrot-Top get eaten by a shark.
Tara Reid is back like the 6 million dollar woman on steroids. I think the most telling line was "We're not here to win an Oscar.
There is some Star Wars connections and lines, Don't get cocky but it was from the original Star Wars feature and not the new one. One of the best "So bad it's good" films out there.
THE 4TH AWAKENS is the latest in the interminable series of SHARKNADO films by The Asylum. The first couple were fun, cheesy B-movies, but the last two have been dumb comedies full of cameoing stars and stupid in-jokes.
By now the franchise is a joke, each film worse than its predecessor, and this one's no exception. This is a amateurish movie packed with mindless plotting and terrible CGI effects throughout.
The dialogue is deliberately stupid while cameoing actors Gary Busey and David Hasselhoff are dragged through the mud constantly.
Tara Reid and Ian Ziering do their best to look earnest but are an embarrassment, while the film's effects take some beating in terms of cruddiness.

The tornado absorbs the water and sharks from Reynolds' hotel, creating the first sharknado in five years. The streets of Las Vegas flood, but Fin, Gemini, Gabrielle, and Matt work together to survive the storm until it heads back out into the desert.
Since returning from the moon, Col. Shepard has become an employee of Astro-X, working on the development of a weaponized mech suit with the aid of his granddaughter Claudia in San Francisco as well as April's father Wilford, a scientist.
However, he is unaware that Wilford has reconstructed April into a cyborg to save her life, and told her that Fin and their family were killed by the shuttle debris to keep her at his laboratory.
Fin, Gabrielle, Gemini, and Matt decide to take a train back to Kansas, only for the sharknado to follow the train after destroying the Hoover Dam.
Astro-X blows up the Grand Canyon to stop the resulting flood, but as an accidental result the sharknado picks up stones to become a "bouldernado.
Fin's group ends up in a small town in Texas, where they acquire chainsaws and construction gear to fight off the sharknado, which hits an oil field and transforms into an "oilnado" and then ignites into a " firenado ".
Meanwhile, two other sharknadoes develop, one near San Francisco that heads north and becomes a "hailnado," and the other near Yellowstone National Park that quickly transforms into a "lavanado.
At the Kansas State Line, Fin, Gemini, Gabrielle, and Matt pick up a red-and-white self-driving car that is a Plymouth Belvedere named Christine from Fin's friend, Colton, and reach April's Acres just before the sharknado - which has now picked up cows and become a "cownado" - strikes and Gabrielle is killed, to Matt's devastation.
The house is picked up by the tornado and thrown all the way to Chicago, where it lands on the mayor. Elsewhere, April - who has learned of her family's survival and left Wilford's lab after angrily confronting him - saves Col.
Shepard and Claudia from the hailnado in San Francisco. Later, Reynolds brings the three of them to Fin, Gemini, Matt and Gil, reuniting April with Fin and allowing her to introduce herself to Gil for the first time.
Reynolds informs the group that Astro-X has developed a way to alter their beacon pods in order to shut down the new sharknadoes.
This method works on the hailnado and lavanado, but the cownado has since evolved further into a "lightningnado," and its electricity blocks their attempts.
The situation further worsens when the lightningnado strikes a nuclear power plant the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Ohio, transforming it into a deadly "nukenado" filled with radioactive sharks.
Reynolds realizes that the only way to stop the nukenado from destroying everything in its path is to transform it back into a regular sharknado so Astro-X's pods will work on it, and the engines of Col.
Shepard's mech suit can be used to power a device to remove the radioactivity from the storm by drawing massive amounts of water into it.
Fin realizes that the only location with enough water to work is Niagara Falls , so they travel there with the nukenado following them. At Niagara Falls, Reynolds volunteers to jump near the falls with a squirrel suit to set off the device, which will reverse the water flow upward into the nukenado and cool it.
However, the device does not have enough power, and Reynolds falls off a cliff. Shepard volunteers to pilot the mech suit to complete the plan, but is swallowed by a shark before he can put it on.
Fin puts on the suit and flies into the storm alongside April - who can fly and shoot laser beams from her hands - to fight through and reach the device.
Claudia and Matt are also swallowed by sharks. Fin manages to use the suit's power supply to activate the device, but he is electrocuted in the process and bitten in the chest by a shark.
Niagara Falls is reversed into the nukenado, neutralizing its radiation and rendering it a normal sharknado again. The Astro-X technicians activate the pods, destroying the storm.Fin, Gabrielle, Gemini, and Matt decide to take a train back to Kansas, only for the sharknado to follow the train after destroying the Hoover Dam.
